HEALTHY ALTERNATIVES AND NATURAL FOODS
Naturopathy looks at the man as a whole, body, mind and spirit are one. As a Registered Nutritional Therapist, I use the healing power of foods to support your body finding its balance.
Specifically, I will work with you on complimentary therapies, related to digestive or hormonal issues but not forgetting about your overall health. I can also provide nutritional advice complimentary to your primary health care provider.
In accordance with the British Association for Applied Nutrition & Nutritional Therapy's guidelines, I will never recommend nutritional therapy as a replacement for medical advice and will always refer any client with ‘red flag’ signs or symptoms to their medical professional.
Gut and hormonal health
Getting the right balance between your dietary needs for everyday health and specifically targeted recommendations to address your symptoms are always part of my plan. Often predispositions or eating and drinking habits promote ailments so all recommendations come with coaching you out of these old habits and finding you healthier alternatives.
For complementary approaches, I use therapies that have undergone careful evaluation for female hormonal health and healthy digestion and have found to be safe and effective and do not interfere with standard medical practices and treatments.
The human body is a fascinating and complex system. It gets even more complex for women because of the hormonal aspects before, during and after childbearing years.
There is no better feeling than being in control of our own bodies and understanding when can we fall pregnant (no, it's not every day of the month), how can we have a balanced menopause (no, it doesn't have to be all painful and horrible) and how can we just enjoy being a woman.
I focus on different aspects of female health and would like to assist on your journey and help to make you feel good in your skin.
Food intolerance, DNA and Lab tests
As a Registered Nutritional Therapist, trained by keeping in mind naturopathic principles, I'm always focusing on recommending natural foods that are right for your body. This doesn't ignore science or genetics. Rather offering healthy alternatives to processed food.
I use food intolerance testing to help exclude foods from your diet that you might be reacting to. I work with different medical laboratories and I also offer DNA testing to ensure what I recommend is entirely based on your requirements and has proven capabilities to meet your needs.
The plan and personal coaching
Any change to your diet and general food behaviours are brought in a phased approach. This can require coaching, a kitchen detox and helping you make decisions on healthy shopping and dining habits. I provide ongoing nutrition coaching to help you make the right decisions and follow the personalised plan.
The plan consists of recommendations to your diet and lifestyle and possibly supplement suggestions, in order to help you to reach your health goals. I am happy to work with dietary changes only if you do not wish to take supplements.
The plan does not consist of a meal plan but I am happy to construct it for an additional fee.
